The site design is completely customizable and many additional widgets make this ecommerce solution fairly powerful. The checkout gateway system is fully transparent, which means that clients will not leave your site to complete their transaction — they will not be redirected to a payment gateway such as Paypal or Google Checkout.

For clients who want a full-featured, customizable and powerful e-commerce solution, Magento comes highly recommended.  It's for clients who intend to sell a moderate to high volume of products online. This is not for casual product sales.

Drupal Uber-Cart Solutions

Uber-Cart is a shopping cart system built on the Drupal Content Managment System. For sites that sell more than just products, such as memberships or advertising space, we highly recommend Uber-Cart.

Shopify Hosted Solutions

Shopify is an e-commerce website-as-service shopping cart solution, which works well for individuals who have fewer products to sell, but still need a powerful online store and checkout service.

Shopify web solutions are more affordable than systems like Uber-Cart or Magento because they take less time to implement and design.  When building your site, Variant Studios will work with you to register a site address, create a custom design and layout and add products to your Shopify website.

Because Shopify is a service-based shopping cart system, the ownership of the technology on which the site runs resides with Shopify.  Once you stop paying your subscription fees, your site will no longer exist.
