Variant Studios is a full-service web studio. From fully-designed content management websites, search engine optimization to motion graphics, copy writing to storyboarding – concept to execution – we do it all.
We think you’ll find that, unlike many web studios, Variant has a down-to-earth approach that is both creative and accommodating. We also think you’ll appreciate the personal, friendly service that helps define Variant Studios.
Below are the biographies of the talented people behind Variant Studios.
In 2001, after building a few web sites for local business, Brent started Variant Studios. In 2003, he finally decided to jump in with both feet and rented an office in Greeley. He has been happily growing his website design and development family ever since. He started an intern program for local college students in 2004 and has also been on the advisory board at Aims Community College.
After being on the advisory board for more than 4 years, Aims asked if he would teach some classes for them. In October 2008, he began teaching Web Design I. He currently teaches Flash II & Web Design II and is working on a committee to bring a curriculum for 'mobile development' and 'video for the the web' to Aims. During his non-existent free time, he enjoys playing hockey and both mountain and road biking.
James came to Variant Studios as an intern from Aims Community College, where he was majoring in Web Design and Development. After graduation, he began working at Variant Studios as a designer and developer. Currently, he's working on learning development for the Drupal content management system. In his free time, you can find James playing basketball, soccer, or practicing Okinawan karate, which he has been studying for three years.
In 2004, Bryon graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in music. After a few years of playing on cruise ships and working at a local music store repairing instruments, Bryon felt it was time to return to his roots. Prior to his pursuit of music, Bryon spent most of his time drawing, painting, or sculpting something. So in 2007, he returned to UNC and worked to complete a degree in Graphic Design. Now armed with a little more knowledge, a few new skills and a whole lot of determination, he has forged a head to carve out a little niche for himself in the web design world at Variant Studios. In his free time you can find Bryon with his saxophone to his face playing the blues.
